FCPC in Mission

At Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church we believe that mission is an outward commitment and expression of our mission statement, "Helping people of all ages become mature disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ." We follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, taking very seriously His great commission as it is recorded in Matthew 28: 16-20.

16  Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.   17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus said to them, "All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. 19  Therefore  go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

As members of the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, we believe that we are God's hands and feet in this world. We are committed to following Jesus' charge to His disciples as expressed in John 20:21, "As God has sent me, so I send you." The mission programs of Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church are one major way in which we express our efforts to fulfill that charge.

For more than 200 years, Presbyterians have been responding to the call of Jesus Christ, taking the Gospel into the entire world and bearing witness to Christ's saving love to the ends of the earth. Today the Holy Spirit is still on the move, calling us to share in what God is doing in the world through us. "Here I am Lord, send me!"  Helping in the food pantries...women's shelters...senior care...schools… rebuilding homes, foundations...foreign mission...raising awareness...whatever...YOU can be a part of God's ministry to others at the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church. Every member is a disciple and a missionary.

Children and Youth in Mission

At FCPC, we believe a heart for mission must be nurtured in childhood and impassioned in the young adult years.  Our children's ministries and student ministries programs provide a wide range of opportunities for our young people to experience, support and learn about mission and service.
