Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?
Feel free to dress comfortably. For the 8:30 and 11:00 o'clock services some people dress up and many wear "business casual" clothes. The 9:30 service is quite casual. In the summer months, we encourage "dressing down" for church.

When should I arrive?
We encourage people to arrive a couple of minutes early, if possible, so you can be seated prior to the start of the service. But we'll welcome you whenever you arrive!

Where do I park?
There is a parking lot on Field Club Road alongside the church.

Will I be singled out as a visitor?
No. While we do have a time in the service for greeting one another, we do not single out visitors for public recognition.

What will I experience?
You will be greeted by the smiling face of an usher who will be happy to answer any questions, give you a printed program, and help you find a seat. The service has a traditional format but a very warm feel. We want people to connect with God and with one another. Laughter is encouraged! The services are designed to provide moments of inspiration and moments for reflection, opportunities for joyful praise as well as for spiritual challenge. When to stand and sit is made explicit to minimize the chance of awkward moments for newcomers.

Is the building handicapped-accessible?
Yes. There is an elevator that connects the sanctuary level and the lower level.

How can I start to get to know people?
There is a coffee hour before and after the worship service for exactly that purpose. It is held in the Atrium, located immediately outside the sanctuary. We encourage you to attend and start to connect with the folks in our congregation. They'll be excited that you're here! Coffee and fellowship is encouraged before and after the H20 service in Fellowship Hal.
