Joan Hogge joined the staff as the Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care at FCPC in April of 2007.

The main focus of her ministry is in the areas of grief and bereavement, hospice and older adult ministry.She is co-chair of Helping Hands-Healing Hearts and co-founder of the oldest free standing pediatric hospice program in the United States, located in Portsmouth, VA.

Joan holds an undergraduate degree in Education from James Madison University, a Masters Degree in Health and Medical Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Joan’s experience includes hospital ministry at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania Hospital, before coming to FCPC.Joan is married to husband, Allen, and has two daughters and 4 grandchildren.
