ADULT MINISTRIES

Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study

9:00 a.m. in the library November 10th

Hard Questions Allowed:  The Weird and Wonderful World of the Bible

This study will meet the first Sunday of each month.  Participants are invited to explore the world of the Bible in all of it’s depth and complexity in a light-hearted way.  There are parts of the Bible that are amazing, parts that are curious, and parts that are weird, confusing, and even troubling.  Historically, people have either avoided the hard parts of the Bible they didn’t like, or disregarded them entirely.  Together, we will explore the hard questions.

November 3rd and November 10th - Charles Skinner Special Speaker

11:15am in the Chapel

The Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 was a watershed event that precipitated the unification of Germany and the end of the Cold War. Now approaching its thirtieth anniversary, this moment that changed the world merits renewed examination: How did the division of the city, country, and continent come about, how did it end, and how does it continue to change our world? Come hear Charles Skinner explore these questions and more as part of his two part presentation for our special speaker series November 3rd and November 10th at 11:15 in the Chapel. All are welcome!
